I did call Dr Darnell, and we had a 20 minute conversation and I swear she was crying with me. Pickle Bungee is going to be cremated and will hang out by the fire with her toy. I have been looking at baby pictures - big mistake! I think she senses something, she has been on my lap a lot tonight. She still looks so perfect that it breaks my heart. This has been the longest pet day on record. I really should go to bed, but that would end today, and would only leave tomorrow. I don't want tomorrow. She just sat up and meowed at me - night night all, kitty time x

:huggy: again. They just go to sleep like a nap, and don't wake up, but they are home, so no trauma. Dr. Darnell does all the extra things that make your lovie the most comfortable. You are helping me, clock, while I am helping you. So glad you called Dr. Darnell; she will ease your pain. I know this is not like losing a parent or a family member, which is the worse loss ever; but, pet owners understand that the animal depended on us totally for their existence and good life. That is what makes it different; we feel responsible/guilty for what happens to our pet. Their life is in our hands, but, that is how much you love them. Love is the keyword. :huggy:

I'm thinking of you too. All will go well. I've worked with Dr Darnell in the past, and she is just wonderful. Be good to yourself today.

I want to thank everyone who sent well wishes and support to us.

Yesterday went by without a hitch. Dr. Darnell was wonderful as predicted. Pussy cat was asleep on the chair when she got here, and I don't think she even knew Doc was here until she sat down beside her. She gave her the sedative, and within 30 seconds puss was asleep on my lap looking so peaceful.

Doc put the catheter in and i held her like a baby and she just drifted off. No twitches, no cries, just sleep. It was a beautiful moment (in the strangest of ways.)

We miss her so much already, but know she is out of pain.

Thanks again everyone :huggy:

clock, so sorry for your loss, know how hard it is, we had to have 2 of our cats put down in the last year, Zero aka Mr. Z and Petey aka Sir Petersworth. Broke my heart. I know they are all playing together at the rainbow bridge and watching over us.
