This whole scenario is starting to tick me off. For starters, GRANDPARENTS HAVE NO RIGHTS in this state or most states.
Incorrectumundo!! Where did you get your law degree F. Lee Baily? There is extensive case law and grandparents DO have rights.

Dont you pay attention. I am one of the relatives? We are trying to protect baby Autumn. I am on the mothers side of the family. We want to protect the baby. If the mother wants to stay there then fine. We are concerned about the babies. Pay attention please .

Its alot easier to say than do, believe me. I have been on that side of the fence.

Sure, everything is always easier said than done. Most of us have been through crappy relationships. I'll admit that I was in a relationship with a controlling sob for 6 years, even got engaged. He tried like crazy to isolate me from my family and friends. But I wouldn't allow it. Eventually after wasting 6 years of my life, I left. But when it comes to your kids, there's a line to be drawn. If I had kids and he laid a hand on either one of them, I'd have left right then and there.

It seems that this mother has alternatives to help her within her own family, yet she chooses to stay with her in-laws. If she was not involved with Jayden's injuries, she should be concerned for her other child's safety and get outta that house.

I was there in the court room and the woodfords are to be supervise any time the mother is around the babies. So i think that means the mother is not allowed to be alone with the babies with out the Woodfords supervision.

Ok let me be very blunt with you hon, we are really on the baby's side. It was horrible what happened. People on here joke and crack on posters spelling and grammar. NOT ONE PERSON has done that to you and from what I have noticed the members have been very forgiving of some of your posts. We all understand that you have baby Autumn's interest first as it should be.
No one has yelled at you, so please do not alienate the members by losing patience with them by yelling at them. You need all the help and encouragement wherever you can get it.

The injured baby is a boy. He is actually doing alot better . It was the injured babies father ( Ryan ) who told the mother that certain ones of her family could not see baby Autumn who is not ryans bio child.

F. Lee's dead. I heard a discussion on TV on Fox a couple of days ago and the lawyers and former judges on there stated that there are no states in the US which have "Grandparents Rights'. Show me where the law says otherwise, wise guy!

its my understanding that ryan also told the mother not to let the bio father see baby autumn also. We located him and he is also trying to do something about this. Say what you want, but the fact remains that baby autumn is still in that home where this took place.

Just for future reference, if you want to reply to something someone said, click on the "reply with quote" button under their post. It makes it easier to follow your comments.

It does not matter what Ryan told her to do. SHE kept those children from their family.

Grand Parents Rights

Grandparent rights are governed by § 9-102 of the Maryland Statute:

Grandparent rights are governed by the Maryland Statutes, specifically § 9-102 of the Family Law Article:

An equity court may:

(1) consider a petition for reasonable visitation of a grandchild by a grandparent; and

(2) if the court finds it to be in the best interests of the child, grant visitation rights to the grandparent.

Maryland courts can and do order visitation to grandparents provided that the court determines that such visitation is in the best interest of the children. The court will look at various factors such as:

1. Is it in the best interest of the child?

2. What is the current and past relationship of the child with the grandparents?

3. What impact (positive or negative) will the visitation have on the child?

4. Will the visitation impact upon the educational and/or physical activities of the child?

5. To determine what is in the child’s best interest, the court will consider various factors, including the nature of the child’s relationship with the parents and grandparents, the potential benefits and detriments to granting visitation, the effect grandparent visitation would have on the child’s attachment to the family, the physical and emotional health of the parties, and the stability of the living and schooling arrangements for the child.

But for instance, say I hate my neighbor and we argue constantly back and forth, and one day I feel really pissy towards them and I and fed up, say I go to the courts and get a restraining order against them saying they have threatened me, well at this point it is an alleged threat, but I can get an immediate retstraining order right then and their based on alledged threats cant I (granted there would be a court date like a week away), but nonetheless, I would still be able to get an immediate one temporary based on alledged threats. If I am correct (which I could be wrong, as I am not a cop, lawyer, or judge) why would a person that has been charged even if it is alleged, be released on conditions that he is not around any children, again correct me if I am wrong, but wouldnt a alledged child molester be released on conditions like that?
I didn't see anything that said he's a "molester." That term means sexual abuse. If there was evidence that he'd ever hurt the other child or if the mother made such allegations on her daughter's behalf, the mother could request a restraining order keeping her husband away from her daughter. If there is no evidence that the man ever harmed the older child and the mother doesn't claim he did, there is no LEGAL basis for keeping him away from other children.
