 I was following a new rider a couple of weeks ago. She pulled out onto Great Mills Rd., got in the left lane doing 30 mph. My "tutoring" consisted of screaming "SPEED UP!! GO FASTER!!"

I even had on my emergency flashers

Dukesdad told me once: "When we start getting smaller, you need to speed up."

I was in your shoes when I had the little Rebel....... I wish I would have held on to it. 80+ miles to the gallon.

"If you see me gettin' smaller I'm leavin' don't be grieving
Just got to get away from here
If you see me gettin' smaller don't worry I'm in no hurry, I've got the right to disappear".

Not so much that THEY can't hear it, but neither can you! When I ride with my buddies with louder pipes, I can't hear my own for the shift-points. I have to look at my tach.

Aps or Pete would be better at tutoring than me. I'll just ride with you, though the more riding you do, the more comfortable you become. Pete can do an AWESOME figure 8 on his huge bike. I'll see if 1bdz wants to join us.

Is this an open invitation for a ride tomorrow?

Well, it started out as just a little riding to help a newbie get some experience, like go south from Spring Ridge. If she doesn't mind, I certainly don't. We have to be helpful and let her set the limits of what she is comfortable with.

South to PLO??

Let her lead and set the pace.. I'm all for a leisurely ride, as long as there is enough breeze to keep me cool.

That's kind of what I was thinking. I think the humidity has dropped a lot and there is a cool front moving in, so it should be nice.
