Aluminum Shed Disposal

I had a 10x14' all aluminum shed the wind destroyed. I have it cut up and neatly stacked and intend to do something with it today.

Will the county (St. Mary's) come get it?
Will a transfer station take it?
Do I have to take it all the way to St. Andrews?
Is there a place close to Budds Creek that will take it?

TIA

Have you asked the Amish if they have any need of it? Ask the man selling veggies at the end of the neighborhood.

I was contemplating that. It's not ridiculously heavy. Prchjrkr is right, prolly only add up to a lil beer money.

My gas hog Dodge Ram will burn it in gas... :lmao:

St Andrews Land Fill.. they have a place for scrap metal.

I don't hink any of the transfer stations will let you dump it, I know the Ridge station won't for sure.

If it's cut up, throw it in the re-cycle bin at the transfer station.

I'd bet the guys at the station will be out of their shed in a flash..

What you say makes sense, but they will tell you all scrap metal has to go to the land fill..

Take a little every time you go to dump your trash.

That's what I was wondering too. I know those things are primarily for cans.

It is cut up into 4'x4' sections. Wasn't sure if they'd let me toss it in the dumpster. It's a close enough drive, I'll stop by and ask. Thanks.

they will not let you dump it in the recycle dumpster, but if your are driving to charlotte hall, bryantown is only about 5 mins away and they will pay you for it

I don't think 4x4 will fit through the doors, more like 2x2 or diagonally maybe 3'.

1) I don't think it is aluminum...(painted tin I think)
2) Transfer station probably won't take it...
3) Probably will have to take it to St Andrews...
4) You could load it on your truck (very loosley) and don't secure it and go toward Glasva (with tailgate down)...Make sure there is nothing in site when you pull out on 234....Go at least 80MPH and by the time you get to Trinity Church Rd, it should be gone...Problem solved....
5) You could also load it on your truck and head toward Clements and find a logging path to back in and unload it there...They could probably use it to drive trucks on so they won't get stuck....In the dust, not mud....
6) You could call Gumby and if he isn't home, you could dump it in his yard...Or maybe Bresamils yard....
7) You have to get creative....

You are correct. Drove to Waldorf metals on 488 and his magnet stuck right to it. They only take the money metals (copper, alum., brass, lead). So I drove to St. Andrews and coughed up $10.00.

I didn't check with the Amish guy Bre.
