appyday said:Naw I do alot of Pitts and all that I do are wonderful dogs. I do not ever trust them around other dogs..and I tell owners that they need to watch out for contact with smaller animals but all of MINE are sweethearts..
Get a life....get a Boxer
Magnum said:See thats why I couldn't get a pit, I live in PG. I have though about an Irish Wolfhound, but they have short life spans
Magnum said:Those are nice looking, just not big enough.
Magnum said:Well I guess you could say I have the Tim Allen syndrone, Bigger and more power. I have a big 4X4 truck so I need a big dog to match, I don't want to ride around with my dog lookng all tiny in my big truck.
Magnum said:Pixie from what I have read the American Mastiffs have less problems than Bull Mastiffs. I mean am I getting bad information? All the sites I checked were fairly consistent with their information, including that the life span which is longer for the American, as well as the statement made on sites that say they generally do not have hip or leg problems. Are these places wrong?? This is why I wanted to ask people, to hear real voices on these dogs.
Magnum said:Well Pixie I have considered that. But I want a puppy, a dog I can raise from the get go. I have lots of nieces and a nephew so I want to make sure he would be raised around kids, and well trained. I don't think I would get the same bond, same respect from a middle aged dog.
