I just bought a dozen extra large for $2, regular size was $1.25. From the grocery store, not a farmers market or something.When you say the price of eggs have been back to normal, what price do you consider normal? The price of eggs is over $3.50 per dozen now. Back in 2020 the price of eggs was around $1.50.

Yeah, that's the problem. People who died from other underlying causes and had covid were counted in the numbers. I can't blame the measures initially taken to stop the spread of covid, it was a new strain of the coronavirus that nobody had an answer for. Older people were dying from the effects of it. But as time went on it became obvious that it was simply another strain of flu. The reaction was a little excessive and should have been recognized as such.
I got covid, two years after it started. It wiped me out for the first two days but then it was over. I've had flu's that hung on longer than that. I'm not trying to minimize it's effects, I just feel that covid was no worse than the every year flu that kills people. It was just that it was an unknown and it elicited a panic response from governments across the world.
