And we have a verdict

It is just amazing to me that a jury could be found without one honest person, without one person with integrity, to say no.
New York, America's septic tank.

Would it surprise you if the jurors and their families were threatened?

With all the publicity, the jury should have been sequestered. A thinking person would want to know why they weren't.

Gotta say, however - in NEW YORK - if that jury had acquitted him, every damned one of them would have faced backlash, especially the lawyers.
This is where we are now.

The left is screaming, OMG, now the MAGA nutjobs are going to attack those jurors. No, that's you guys.

Most of this thread is just continued threats of violence. under Trump we saw crime rates skyrocket, endless riots, mayhem on the roads, and whatever your thoughts about Jan 6th at a minimum it was complete chaos.

The guy is a thug and a convicted felon, I’m tired of your endless threats, you can vote for a criminal all you want, we’ll see what Nov brings.
I wouldn't get used to using that convicted felon line, the case will be won on appeal. If not, I fear what comes in the future.

And I still can't figure out why they were not sequestered FROM THE VERY BEGINNING.

Heck, I've been on juries - and I guarantee you, they do talk about it, although not to the press or crowds or the Internet.
And they DO watch TV, listen to radio and go online - even though they're told not to.

So far, the WHITE HOUSE has backed off using it - they know it's going to hurt the campaign, because it's only red meat for their base.

“We all owe QAnon an apology. They told us that Trump's actions would result in politically-connected sexual predators going to prison and it turns out they were right”

Posting it twice, Doesn't make it true. You do listen to your handlers well though. "Repeat in enough and they'll believe."

He wanted to buy her a boob job?

If you pay a guy to change your oil, and that guy uses that money to pay a hooker, does that mean you personally paid a hooker? And if you then log that money in your budget under "car maintenance" have you committed a felony because you said it was for an oil change but it ended up in a hooker's pocket?

All the people you pay for goods or service - are you legally liable for what they do with it?

So they believed a convicted liar and a woman who has changed her story 3X.

So maybe I am not up to date on this whole transaction - or perhaps, Cohen changed his story AGAIN, and this time, it's supposed to be the truth.

What I understood was - Cohen paid her by via some kind of home equity loan - essentially out of his own pocket - and claimed, he did that without any input from Trump. I believe he testified to that. Story seems to be, since Trump was running for President, this was intended, Cohen sought to ingratiate himself for a spot at the White House - even thinking Chief of Staff - and when that NEVER happened and he wasn't brought in at ALL, is when he started going after Trump. Presumably witnesses described him throwing something of a tantrum over it.

That - NDA notwithstanding, Cohen billed it, and it was paid as a legal fee.

How am I doing so far?

This being the case, Trump has nothing to do with it - no email, no paper trail, no phone call, no evidence whatsoever that tied him to the NDA.

Which by itself - is totally, completely, utterly - legal. A little sensational, gossip-worthy - but something so common in this country, there's a decent industry where people make money drawing them up.

Now - during the trial - I am guessing - because I'm not current with everything - Cohen CHANGED his story?
So the hell what? Paying a porn star to be quiet about something is not against the law.

Didn't she - somewhere along the line - say it never got anywhere? Isn't she saying that on TV somewhere?

How did that morph into something resembling one of her porn videos?

ONE story I only heard - once - was it was COHEN who got it on with Stormy. He paid her to be quiet out of his own money, because it was HIM - and billed it to his boss, because having a lawyer banging a porn star could hurt him. And being a thief, billed it as a legal expense.

Only saw it once, but as it is, it makes a LOT more sense than every other version I've seen.

The first was a rough draft, the second was a re-write and then Disney helped with the third.
