I am in too. There are a lot of people on this site that I pray for and I don't know their names or their faces but God does. Today at church I was teaching the little children about the love of Christ and how it is important to show His love to others. It is just so amazing. So itsbob can say pray won't do him any good but we all know the power of prayer and how it can change ones life. I think you guys are awesome for the stand you take for Jesus and I am standing right with you guys until the day He comes. SOON AND VERY SOON. Amen. God's blessings to you all.

One thing I've been wondering, and I guess I'll check it out later, is where the image of angels with soft pillowy swan-like wings came from.


I would tend to think that angels wings more closely resemble a mammilian wing - like a bat's wings. Those types of wings would also lend itself to an image of covering one's face with them (I don't think bird's wings go that way).

I've also wondered about this. I to doubt that angels have feather wings.

By my count, we have maybe 4 or 5 Followers of Jesus, so far, who have offered their prayers on itsbob's behalf.

We're going to need more, that's true, but by Power of the Holy Spirit, in Jesus' Name, let's reach out to him!

We only need One, the One, to reach him. We are just vessels. Where two or more are gathered ... we are at least two.

Odds are the the people that gave the descriptions never saw a bat, they're nocturnal and there were no street lights or the Discovery Channel back then.
That leaves bird and insect wings as a reference

According to the Bible, we may all see angels in human form and there are those that have seen angels in angelic form. I think that the description common of the angelic form of angels probably comes from the description provided by those that have seen angels in angelic form.
