Another Out Of Control Cop : Taser Vid

I kinda agree

In the use of force it is the cop's obligation to try to de-esculate the situation. Now I don't expect them to put themselves in danger doing so, but in this case it was a perfect oppurtunity to de-escualte, instead this cop takes it in the opposite direction by yelling and screaming and drawing his taser awful fast.

First lets be clear ANYONE I see with a tag like that in the window is going to be stopped. I can't tell you how many stops I have had where folks try to conceal the tag in the back window because it was suspended or belonged to another car or it was just a fake tag all together. This in my book guarantees a stop. Once that is done a simple registration check and a polite "by the way you may want to mount the tag properly" suggestion and maybe a written warning would be sufficient. I am inclined to agree with you that this officer missed the opportunity to DE-ESCALATE. He should have. I would like to know what kind of complaints he has had and his history. I think maybe a short suspension and slight atitude adjustment would help also.

Ok, check this out. Forward the video to 3:03 and watch the traffic. See the truck disappear? Now do it again and watch the timer in the upper right. Where did that minute go?
Now, as for the rest of the video, cop was a a-hole.
You lil badass hottie!! :high5:

By all means...

First lets be clear ANYONE I see with a tag like that in the window is going to be stopped.

...and write 'em up for it, too. An officer who can't control himself in the face of sarcasm or snotty comments or feet dragging should not wear the badge. A simple "Gee whiz, this is starting to look like a full vehicle inspection' should suffice to get any one's compliance if Mr. Citizen is being an azzhat.

Plus, that guy, handling it like he did KNOWING his cam was running???
