and it certainly is wrong to give jail time for petty offences.

That's twice you've excused impaired driving. Once for your son, and now for this idiot. I think we need a call to MADD so that they know someone who is anti-DUI punishment is stupid enough to think he can win office.

Alcohol related reckless driving is not a petty offense. It is endangering the lives of innocent people, and deserves the harshest possible treatment. By minimizing the serious nature of her offense you are further showing your sociopathic tendencies.

So you're saying the embezzlers, frauds, scammers and others that commit non violent crimes should not be sent to jail.
We just ask them not to do it again.

So as long as the drunk driver doesn't wreck or kill somebody, it's OK to let them continue to drive.

So, she got skeered, too bad, but I bet she didn't get scared enough because it's only a matter of time before she breaks the law again. The only thing that may prevent this is if the gets a real jail sentence and maybe she'll learn that you can't break the law and get away with it.

I started this thread because I thought it was pathetic that she got her sentence reduced, I should have known you'd come in and pity the spoiled brat.

Dumbass, she did get drunk and drive. She wrecked, and got off easy the first time. She broke the law again, and should've been sentenced to several years: Probation violation.
