ALBANY, Ga. (AP) -- Maceo Snipes served in the Pacific during World War II and returned home to make history: He became the first black person to vote in Taylor County.

But a day after casting his ballot, he was mortally wounded.

Relatives say the 37-year-old was shot in the back by four white men in 1946 and collapsed in the doorway of his farm house about 90 miles south of Atlanta. He died two days later.

"I want somebody held accountable for killing my uncle," said Lulu Montfort, 73, who was 13 when her cousin was killed. "They're probably all dead now, but people need to know that my uncle didn't do anything to deserve death."
For some reason, this part stuck out.

Somehow I doubt that.
Why? I can't count how many books, articles, etc I've read with misspellings and words where they don't belong. People make mistakes.

Say your father has a brother, who is ten years older than he is ,and his son is around ten years younger than your father.

Your father marries your mother, she has a younger sister who is ten years younger than she. The Nephew marries the sister of you moyher.

She is your Aunt and he is your first cousin and your uncle.

Nothing wrong with that. I know of a case where it happened.

Now about the thread. Read this and see how blacks really feel about 30 and 40 year old murder trials.
