Any Good Pediatrician?

Yeah, I agree with you about all of the ingredients in vaccines; I've studied up on them myself. (and itsbob, you don't need to have a medical degree to see what the vaccine ingredients add up to, I wish you and bubba the best of luck)
Pertussis is one of the vaccinations I do use, but in my research I have found that in my own childrens' circumstances (they are breastfeed for over a year, they are not in daycare, and we even homeschool) they are at negligible risk for the majority of vaccines.

Well, share with the class..

Where do we do our research? Where do we go to find the truth??

Does Tom Cruise offer counseling on vaccinations and Psychology??

OH, and it's not just Bubba.. I have five VERY healthy, smart kids.

The link I posted a few posts back is from the CDC website and it lists ingredients for all of the vaccines out on the market. Some of them are harmless - sugar, salt, or fancy names for specific vitamins or minerals that are just fine, beneficial even.

Some of the ingredients are not ok - at least not with me. I understand that they need a preservative in vaccines... but formaldehyde?? ick. And some of the fetal cells/tissue used from embryos (most are chicken or cow - but not all) raise questions for lots of people.

Like I said, I decided that in the end, I was *more* concerned with the slim chance that my kids would contract a preventable disease and went ahead with the vaccinations - but I did decide to do them one at a time, not only to police any reactions that they had, but to also minimize the onslaught of crap into their little bodies at one time. That last point is certainly debateable and many parents have no problem with that - that's their decision and we all make what we feel are the best decisions to our ability when it comes to raising our kids.

Well, congratulations to you. I have seven healthy, smart and good kids. The moral is, there is more than one way to parent and we don't need to make snarky remarks when another thoughtful parent comes to a different decision, do we?

Have you ever read the book, "How to Raise a Healthy Child in Spite of Your Doctor"? Can't remember the docs name. So much good information, and lots of common sense that has been lost!

My kids see Chabbra (sp?) and Sait in Waldorf. My daughter had been seeing them since I brought her home from the hospital. We moved to Calvert after the boys were born, but before they came home, and I was going to find a pedi closer to here (just for distance, not any other reason) but Children's discouraged it, saying that the office I was going to was one of the best out here. Since I'm not going to question Children's, I stayed. And I'm glad I did - they've been phenomenal with the boys! I would highly recommend them.

Luv them!!!
