Anybody think we need a new movie theatre in St. Mary's County?

Hubby took me to a really nice theater in Salisbury, NC, "Tinseltown" It was Huge, all the movies were being shown in at least 4 rooms. Tickets were $7.50. There were twice as many seats per room than in the park theater, and the screen was twice the size too.

If they are going to revamp the water front in Leonardtown..I think it should include a water side drive-in with a 50's theme. Chicks on rollerskates and hot rod cars... That would be

Wow, I remember "The Park" Theatre as well as "The Plaza". I grew up just south of LP City (I actually lived in Patuxent Homes in the early seventies and bought a house in that same area when it was a nice place to live).

Yes, PLEASE.
I would rather drive to Annapolis to watch a movie. Its just too small, and gross. People act like idiots. :jameo:

Just the one at the mall.. They have nice big seats, big screens and we saw a couple movies there, noone was talking on their cell phones, or screaming or talking loudly.. It was peaceful.. Mostly adults.

Thanks! I didn't realize they had a nice theatre and usually travel all the way to Arundel Mills Mall or Silver Spring when I want to hit a nice one. I may try them out tonight...:yay:

Folks need to remember that bigger theaters will bring higher costs. I caught at movie at that theater Memorial weekend... it's $9.50 a ticket.... I spent 28.50 for me and my 2 kids to see "over the hedge"... That was more than I spent to treat them to dinner. I'm glad they were still full from dinner because the cost of popcorn and soda caused sticker shock as well. :faint:
Lexington Park was about 7.50ish the other night. I'd pay 2 bucks more.:yay:
