No excuse. I think our show is entertaining. Obviously you do not. So I would suggest not listening to it. I would also advise breathing from your nose and not your mouth but I have a feeling both of my suggestions will fall on deaf ears.

You are the only person thinking that:loser: :killingme I took 98.3 off all my radios buttons.

Boomer, the show is awful....and I mean that in the nicest way. I tune in on occasion just to see if it has changed and, well...you guys are just lame. :ohwell:

I have no idea why I try to play nice with a bunch of bitter former Somar and WMDM employees bent because they think they could do everything better. Look, face up that you no longer work in radio and you never will again.

BTW, nice work with 16,000 posts. How long did that take you?

Why can't you just understand that no one likes your lame show? Take that criticism and fix it or keep your head up your ass and go down in flames...oh wait, you already are doing that :duh:

For you information, I didn't like T Bone and Heather, either.

It has taken me almost 10 years to get that many posts.

I still listen to 98.3, probably always will out of habit, but the change in music has been easy enough to get used to and the switch from Bone-head and Heifer hasn't been tough at all. What many forget is how annoying that pair was when they first hit SOMD and how stupid they could be even after all there time here. Does anyone remember the debut the station did for them by playing the "Macarena" song for 24 blood curdling hours?

I say give them time to grow and develop with the area. They are still new and I would suspect don’t have all of our nuances worked out yet.

I never cared for the 98.3 talk shows. For some reason they just can't seem to find any talent. I personally feel that Dawn and Boomer have been there long enough to settle in. The problem lies with the owner's not wanting to pony up for real experience.

Is that what the boss told you?

I think there may be one person on this board that worked in the local industry. Everyone else is your customer. Please focus on good customer relations.

Incidentally, whatever happened to Moondog? He talked about putting together some internet radio. Is he still in the area?

Condolences to Dawn on the loss of her father. And to you, also. I know how tough that can be.

Wow, looks like everyone skipped the coffee and went straight for the Hateraid... :jameo:

I've tried to be nice, and that's a stretch for me. I guess he's one of those people that thinks everyone is supposed to like him, and gets all defensive if you don't.

Not me, my weekend begins in 15 minutes :coffee:

Boomer won't listen...the show sucks. Plain and Simple. No other way to say it.
The more T-bone and Heather were on made me dislike them more and I took 98.3 off my radios.

I thought these 2 newbies might be a breathe of fresh air I was wrong.

I've never really cared for radio talk shows either, as a matter of fact, for me, the radio is just background accompaniment while driving. I've caught a few things that were funny from them and a few that were lame. It’s no different then any other "radio personalities" that you will get elsewhere.

As to them being here long enough to settle in, that might be so, but to come close to understanding the area I think that it takes quite a bit longer. Hell, I know people that have been here 5, 10, 15 years and longer and they still haven't figured it out. At times even I don't understand what is going on or why some do what they do around here and I've been in county for over 40 years, 20 straight on this current stint.

Given the limited "media" in the area there is no way in the world that everyone is going to be pleased all the time. As long as there is music that I can connect with I wouldn't care if a pair of orangutans shrieked and screamed between songs. And if you are looking for a high-dollar radio star from this market I wouldn’t hold my breath. It isn’t like we are in a major metropolitan area or anything like that. Matter of fact with the transmitter power the local stations have, thus their demographical area, I think we are fortunate to even have DJs at all and not an automated station.

Amen to that. That's my pet-peeve with 97.7 : the complete lack of any kind of personality - well that, and for a straight month they played tee-total crap music.

Anyway, I like Dawn and Boomer. I think Boomer, in particular, has greatly improved since they've blown into town. I don't know why they're so unpopular on these forums.

Unless it's all based on his forum personality, and his childish responses to the childish comments made about his show.
