I sent one to my Dad for Christmas. He loves it!

Whistler just got one and had success with the waterproof and detour features on a recent trip. He is really impressed with it.

Next week

I found one for $476 but they are trying to talk me into a SD card for it for another $200. What size card do you have?

I think I got my Dad a basic card ~ around $80, but he's not the type to roam very far or too far off of the beaten path these days.

I couldn't tell you what Whistler got, maybe he'll chime in later.

Dan at Motovations has one. He can give you the download for all the red light cameras in the D.C. area and can probably answer your questions.

You can get a 2 gig SD card at walmart for $20
I was under the impression the the SD card was the MP3 player memory.

Something special about the SD card? You can get SD cards WAY cheaper yourself. 4 gig for around $30.

Where did you get yours?

I think I found a deal on amazon late last year.

I'm not sure if Whistler got his from GPSCITY or just another motorcycle mount. He was steaming mad at their customer service department for sending the wrong components in the package and NOT being very willing to amend the situation, because by their records, the package that they sent out was the proper weight for the things that he ordered.

I just hung up on a guy from TECHONDIGITAL.com.

They advertise the ZUMO for $469. I asked him if they had them in stock he say "Yea" so I say I want to order one. He says you will need a "memory card for it" I say I have tons of 1G and 2G memory cards laying around I just want the GPS. He says "are they high speed?" I say no "Oh well it wont work if you don't use high speed and I can get you one for $218." I said "Well Garmin's tech data doesn't say high speed is mandatory, I just want the ZUMO and I will try my card if it doesn't work I will get a high speed"

He says "Whateva, joo wanna do but thea is a 5 week back orda on dat unit, call back den."

Effers were going to try and lure me in with a low price on the ZUMO then stick it to me with their high price SD card. When I didn't bite Mr. New York brought up the 5 week back order AFTER he told me he had them in stock.

Found a little holder for the SD cards that lets you use it like a flash drive at Wally Mart

Well he claimed without a SD card you could not store waypoints or addresses which sounds like crap to me. Then he went into some song and dance about having to send the unit to Garmin for new map install every year at a cost of $79. I said "Bullchit, it has a usb cable to download the new map right off the PC" It seemed shady. When he couldn't talk me into a $200 2G SD card he got pizzed.
