Oh GOD, I hope it was swift. Has anyone ever jumped that bridge and lived?

Yes!!

A Calvert man, Timothy Hoofnagle, a veteran DWI driver, proving that cocaine can help you fly, jumped from about two thirds up the way from the St. Mary's County side about 15 years ago, surviving the jump and swam to Seven Gables Island where he was captured by a police K-9 dog and Trooper Joe Appleby. The man had led St. Mary's deputies on a high-speed chase while he tossed drugs from his car on Chancellors Run Road. When he got to the bridge, he jumped rather than face arrest.

And A man attending the annual St. Mary's College's Governor's Cup Race stopped in traffic in the mid afternoon and jumped in an apparent suicide attempt but also survived when nearby fishermen sped to his rescue.

can you imagine surviving that and floating in that cold water in the dark, probably broken up and in pain?
It sends chills down my spine.

No, I can't imagine. Maybe she survived the jump, but the water was too cold.

Really? That is such a long drop, I guess it depends on where you jump and how you hit.

It's a little cool for a prolonged amount of time in the water. I usually have to dig out the wetsuit when the water get's down to 60-65.

This site normally gives water temp. but seems to be experiencing problems with water info.
