It is not unlike my mom to call me when something happens. I remember when I was living in SC there was in accident in front of her house (here in SOMD) and the at fault driver took off running. So what does she do? She called me! I told her to hang up and call 911 then call me back.

Did they make her drive away without her purchases? Does she still have her reciepts?
Maybe when it is safe she can go back and get her money back since she was asked to leave without her purchases......that would stress the heck out of me because we have very little money right now...you know ( the pay cut ) I hope she is OK....And I hope she gets her money back...

That is the problem. She never got a receipt since the register was out of paper and did not give her one. They were working on getting it as the store was being evacuated. She's been waiting about a 1/2 hour and she bought mostly frozen food.

Did she use cash? If she used a debit/credit card she can prove her purchase.
She said they made everyone get out of the store...
....did she pay with cash?
If she used a debt/credit card her bank or credit card company would have a record of her purchases....that might help her get her money back....

I was there this afternoon too. We had finished shopping and was eatting in the snack bar when they forced everyone out of the store. Unlucky for me I left my leather coat with my wallet on the back of the chair. I waited outside for damn near 1 1/2 hours before I could get back in. Everything was still in it along with my car keys so I had to wait.
