Cute analogy with the plumber, if I were to fire one (2020 election) and they come back with a group of minions, break into my house, then threaten to kill me (Jan 6), yeah, I’m never hiring that guy again. I think over 50% of the American people feel that way and we’ll see that in November. And that's at the heart of it. If you're hiring a plumber and all he can tell you is that the OTHER plumber in town is bad, it doesn't say a damned thing about if he is even CAPABLE of doing the job. "Other plumber bad" is not a compelling reason to believe you even know which end of a pipe wrench to use. Years ago, I had a procedure done, and there existed the remote possibilty of death. I asked my surgeon - he said he'd DONE it over 3000 times and never lost a patient. If you're hiring a surgeon, "other surgeon bad" is not an argument.
An election is a hiring process. That is exactly what it is. The public is making their choice to hire someone for an important job. The Presidency is a very serious, very demanding job requiring a wide range of leadership skills, knowledge and accomplishments. It's not enough to have ideas on how to do something. You need experience in having done them. Thus far, Kamala has only SPECIFICALLY articulated a handful of ideas, most of them are terrible and a couple of them are outright unconstitutional.
Either the past four years are evidence of Kamala's leadership in the White House - or evidence of NO leadership. She either was "the last person in the room" - the person making decisions WITH Joe Biden and thus, accountable and responsible for the state of the nation - or she's done damned near nothing. She tries to make the case repeatedly that she is NOT Biden and would do things differently - but she has also said she wouldn't do ANYTHING differently. IF she were in the same situation, she'd make the same choices.
So we either have two full Presidential terms to compare - Trump's vs Kamala's - or Trump's vs. virtually zero executive experience. She either was a part of Biden's decisions or not at all. I can't believe the idiocy of the fear campaign of the Democratic Party - we have a complete term in the White House to use. If he is going to be an authoritarian dictator, it sure didn't seem like it when he was there. Comparing the two terms - in my opinion - Trump's was better. The current one is disastrous no matter who you blame.
Trump ceiling is 47%, you see how the followers in this forum will support him no matter what and can’t seem to wrap their head around how someone could support Biden and then Kamala. It’s because we support their administration, their policies, not a celebrity personality who just loves being on camera.
Trump won’t live forever, he’s almost 80, who’s after him? JD?
