Are consignment shops worth it?

He's such a cute little guy. If you can deal with the projectile vomiting.

OMG my son did that the other day to my husband. It went all over my husband's shorts. It was actually funny because it looked like my husband had an accident. :lmao:

WorkinHard's kid managed to get my arm, boobs, stomach and crotch all in one go. I was impressed.

We donate to smile, but I think that sometimes they have been getting overwhelmed by all the donations. They actually have turned us away and we had to go to Catholic Charities. There are 10 years between my kids, so we had to get all new clothes the second time. Since we are stopping at two, we got rid of them again.

I'm thinking of taking my maternity clothes to a local consignment shop. But I've never used a consignment shop before and I don't know if it'll be worth it. I spent a lot of money on these clothes and don't have another use for them. I'd donate them, but some of the pieces were pretty expensive.

If you've used a consignment shop around here, were you pleased?

You may want to consider selling them on E-bay. Open an account and set reserve prices if some of your items are pricey and you don't want to let them go cheap. Once you have an account, you can sell anything! You have more control over what you want for each item and can factor in shipping costs. It will take a bit more work on your part to include pictures and ship the items but it might be worth a try!
