Silicon Valley billionaire compares treatment of America's rich to Nazi persecution of Jews

Venture capitalist Tom Perkins sparks outrage after suggesting America is facing a 'progressive Kristallnacht'​

In his letter titled "Progressive Kristallnacht Coming?" Mr Perkins said: "Writing from the epicentre of progressive thought, San Francisco, I would call attention to the parallels of fascist Nazi Germany to its war on its 'one per cent', namely its Jews, to the progressive war on the American one per cent, namely the rich.

"From the Occupy movement to the demonisation of the rich embedded in virtually every word of our local newspaper, the San Francisco Chronicle, I perceive a rising tide of hatred of the successful one per cent."

Mr Perkins cited the antipathy in San Francisco towards luxury "Google buses" that carry technology workers to their well paid jobs, and growing anger over rising house prices caused by wealthy buyers employed by internet companies.

Never in the Anals, ( yes I know the word is Annals) of history has a person come into the office of President and used the perks of that office as has this man.

Vacations, Fund Raisers, Golf outings, Parties at the White House, not man even the rich take more advantage ----meanwhile speaking about equality.

How many millions of dollars has this man and his wife made while in office? It is estimated that Obama is worth 11.8 Million dollars, not bad for a Community Organizer.

I guess Equality does not begin at home.

President Obama is more guilty of expanding the "income inequality" stuff he talks about so much than anyone. His "tax increases on the rich" and his 2010 "tax cuts" contained countless tax increases on lower income people and middle class people. But what would you expect from Obama? He was bought and paid for by large corporations in 2008.

The rich have been screaming about being persecuted as long as I've been alive.

Let's go ahead and talk about it though. When taxes are raised on the wealthy who, quite honestly, can afford it, the media and one political party screams about "socialism" and stuff like this. But the two tax increases on poor and middle-class Americans that have gone in to effect during President Obama's tenure -- both parties near universally support every single tax increase that targeted lower-income brackets and nobody in the Conservative dumbassophere wrote or cared about those.

Fact is, the rich have had it much better off under Obama and the poor and middle class have had it much worse off. But it's wealthy people screaming about persecution. Yeah, right.

ALL taxation is theft. It's not just "taking" when one is in a higher socioeconomic strata than others. It is taking when the government steals the fruits of someone else's work.

Our government has been punishing the "rich" for the past 100 years, prime example is our tax system. Why is it that the more you make the more you are taxed. Liberals all cry for a "Fair Tax", well, a fair tax is one that everyone will pay the same percentage, no matter how much or how little you make.

Why does a person who makes 30k pays not federal tax but someone who makes 80k have to pay federal tax. Where is the incentive to earn more when it seems that the more you make, the more Uncle Sugar will just take more from you.

Liberals, you want a "Fair Tax", the every working American should pay 15% federal tax, no matter how much they earn..............and those on welfare will pay also, after all, they are getting a paycheck also.
