Are we back to hoarding?

About time for people to start gardening again, in a massive way. Oh, and get some cracked corn and sprinkle some in your yard. When the squirrels come by, pick them off with a BB or pellet rifle. Squirrel pot pie, yummmmmmy. And all those damn rabbits, they're tasty too.

I was out of a couple of items, so I stopped at Giant on my way home after work last night. Very weird what they had and didn't. No milk except high-priced artificial ones, but plenty of eggs. All the leafy green salad stuff was gone, but most everything else was available. The meat department was almost bare, except for semi-frozen packs of Italian sausage and some high-end meats. Plenty of TP in stock. But the prices have risen on everything! Ugh.

Thanks and pretty much what I thought. I knew things were tight right now but it was strange that certain things were gone and other things were okay. I knew that leafy greens would be in short supply due to the recalls, but other things like meats were a shock. I figured they were low but the display was pretty much EMPTY. :faint:

I went to do my shopping today. Aldi's only had pork chops and some steaks. No chicken or hamburger. I did get my salad mix and other vegies. Next stop Giant. What Jazz said above about the meat section. Picked up a few frozen food items and tuna. Next stop, BJs. They had a good amount of chicken and hamburger. I am done for a few weeks now. GUH!

I was in BJ's yesterday and there was no chicken at all. Good to know it was only temporary.

My wife was in Aldi's yesterday and was shocked at the amount of stuff they didn't have.

Thats interesting, I shopped at the Aldis one town over on tues and the only thing I couldnt find was
Bob Evans 1# tubes...
Good part was they had a freezer full of the roasted potatos, green beans, snap peas and peppers.
Havent seen them for a year or so.

Surprisingly Weis on GMR was fairly well stocked last night. The meat case was not bare. Milk in all shapes and sizes. All the fixings for a salad, except Kraft Catalina dressing. 😠 I had to get fat free, which according to some on here I need. Otherwise had everything I wanted.
