Why do they mandate them on public transit? That's a bit of a mixed signals there.
So they have mandated masks, just not in most places.

Not here in and around Lake Anna. There is a DGAF attitude about masks and social distancing inside stores even though there are signs everywhere saying masks required.

No body was enforcing the mask rule, the signs were up but nothing was said to the maskless. The winery we went to required masks to purchase a flight, but they had suspended tastings.I was there 2 weeks ago and got the opposite impression. Every store I went in required a mask.
Maybe the public side is different than the private.

We just got back today. The lake was really crowded and in talking with some folks at the marina and some homeowner friends they said it is the busiest they’ve ever seen. Private side water temp was close to 100 yesterday supposedly. We were Split between houses, one near the 208 bridge and the other near the 719 bridge. The Food Lion I went to has a deputy parked out front. Not sure what he was for, but I know that everyone in there had a mask on.
I can't say I've seen anyone do that here. I admit I don't go out much but everytime I go to Wal-Mart or get food, no one says anything. No one says anything to me when I go to the dump maskless or when I pick up my food maskless.
Either way, it was a nice trip. Been going to Lake Anna since I was a kid. Water is hot as all hell (I think it was around 85* where we were on the private side). Have a good trip!
