would you consider letting your kid fly alone on an airplane (direct flight from departure to destination)? DQ's dad (who's been supposedly planning for her to go with him to Florida for Christmas for 3 months) waited till the last minute to buy his tickets, and is now pitching a fit over the $500/ticket prices. So, he wants to put her on a plane alone, which at 6 years old (escort or no escort) is just too young, in my opinion. I offered to drive half way to NC, but he then pitched a fit about the price of gas. :duh:

Yep; she is officially staying home for christmas now.

Good thing I was smart and signed her up (just in case this happened) for the field trip to the white house right after Christmas. I had a feeling he'd do this again. :ohwell:

Being Christmas and all, I probably shouldn't say this... And I was doing so well with good karma recently, but oh well. Here it goes.

But on the bright side, she isn't sad about it (as of bedtime). She said before she'd rather go to the white house than Florida. But I know, deep down, she's hurt. I don't lie to her about this stuff either. And she remembers when he did this in the spring. It's always at the last minute. :rolleyes:

Tell me about it ... at least I wised up and left his dumbazz. I always say, if there's a way I could still have her without him in the picture to have procreated with, life would be perfect! :lol:

I don't really need "advice" per se. I know 6 yrs old is too young to fly alone. I just wondered if I was alone in that thinking.
