Tile floor or hardwood? My basements getting tile but I'm thinking of replacing the upstairs rugs with hardwood.

Oh and I almost stopped to get you that beer to try. It was on the way home, but I forgot. I was thinking you might want it during the Skins game.

Ya know...my best friend wants to open her own restaurant one day...I'd love to see it happen...girlfriend can cook her azz off:yum:

Just cause she can cook does not mean that she can open and successfully operate a resturant! :lalala:

Service has always been slow but tonight was ridiculous. They weren't even busy!! I literally watched those two boothes get seated & watched them leave. Pitiful!!
Hate it when that happens.:burning:

I hate that place. Went there once. There were flys. Grossed me out. Then we waited about 15 minutes and nobody waited on us so we left and went to Berts. I will never go there again.

Besides, St. Mary's Landing, hows about: Ledo's, Wendy's, Arby's, McDonalds, Subway, Pizza Hotline.

Plus 2 or 3 crabhouses and other stuff in Mechanicsville right up the street.

Of course, I'd shell out some major duckets if they put up a TGI-Fridays, or Red Lobster, or a Chinese restaurant in CH.

Those are all fast food. We need a TGI's, Rubys, Applebee's, Chille's, etc.... The closest crab house is Capt. Leonards.

I stopped going to St.Mary's Landings for the same reason service was very poor just not enough staff for the amount of bussiness.I'm sure they notice that Bussiness has
dropped off because I know of alot of Family's who don't go there anymore.

I filled out one of those forms that set up by the register thinking that Billy Hill would
read it and if he cared would contact me he never did and I never went back.

My parents have been going to that place for years. Even before it was the St. Mary's Landing they went to the Halfway house every friday night. It definately has changed since the have moved and became the St. Mary's Landing. But we never have any problems there. But my parents know almost all of the waitress's in there. I like the food too. I've got a couple of friends that work at Berts, and lets just say I don't plan on going to Bert's unless I'm just getting the ice cream. I've heard too many "staff " stories there to eat actual food from there.

Doesn't the menu at the Landing say something like, "If you can kill it, we can fry it"? :lmao:

Kain, I hope your service was better than mine. You looked great by the way!! 1st time I've seen ya all snazzed up.

We were seated with menus and I watched as patrons of 2 boothes leave, get cleaned, new patrons seated and drink orders taken.

I grab a bus boy & ask if he can track us down a server. 3-4 minutes pass (we have been seated a good 15 min. by now) I watch as what turned out to be our server go take the order of one of the newly seated boothes. Finally after entering their order, she comes to our table for our drink order. No apology, nothing.

Fast forward to check time. She was average during the meal, checked on us etc. Meal was good. She returns with my card and a pen, thanks us and asks in a humerus way that I don't accidently leave with her pen.

I discuss with my date what tip I should leave. Definately not 20% service & since we sat a good 15 min. before getting her, 15% is nullified. I'm now in the 10-15% mindset.

Well barely 2 min. has passed since she brought card when she runs back over and asks "Is everything alright here?" I said yea, I just need a few minutes. She then says in an excited voice: "Well I need that pen!! Here, use this one!!" and hands me a red pen and runs off.

I was blown away!! I left 10% but kicked myself all the way home for not leaving less.

Charlotte Hall needs a restaurant!!!

I looked into opening an Apple Spice Junction in Charlotte Hall. But couldnt find a good location for it. It was cheaper to look for an "all ready built location." I agree Charlotte Hall needs restaurants. Like an Applebees, Ruby Tuesday's or somethng decent and sit down. Billy Hill can care less about the service or the food at that place. He has a monopoly on the restaurant biz in that area. If you complain - he says who cares. My husband and son got food poisoning from there and I called and asked to speak to him about it and said "what do you want me to do about it". and hung up. I called the health department and he said prove it. You can only go to Ledo's so often.

:yay:

Get tired of going to Waldorf, LaPlata and Prince Fred. to sit down and eat, we hit Ledo's about twice a month. Can never eat at Ledo's without knowing someone in there dining at the same time.

Maybe if the ballpark had been built in Hughesville we would have gotten a few sitdown places to eat nearby.:yay:

I think they even fry their hamburgers

Their Sunday brunch is pretty good and my service is excellant. As soon as I want something, I go get it.

Thats because the work pre/work release inmates can't cook.

Yep...the food sucks these days and the prices increased across the board this past weekend. They need to hire REAL cooks who give a damn about the job. Play it safe with a soup or salad and several drinks at the bar.
