I know there are 6 Republicans signed up to run in Primary's for State Senator, to face Mikulski in the General, and I cannot name any one of them.
Without name recognition, without sufficient funds, without a National party backing (RNC does not put money into a Maryland election).
What chance does a Republican have against an incumbent with Franking privileges, a coffer full of campaign funds, the backing of liberal voters in the states Democrat areas.
The chance of getting rid of the troll are pretty slim.
Well, when you don't have an unlimited supply of campaign funds, it certainly does make a lot of sense to not put too much effort into a race you can't win.
I do however think that third-party candidates really should make a better showing in races where candidates run unopposed. I'm sick to death of seeing 20-30 races where one party just walks into the House with no opposition at all - or another 20-30 with only token opposition.

You may want to research some of the good things that Mikulski has done for SoMD. But maybe you have been too indoctrinated by the pimps from the "right" to see clearly.

Yes, in fact I have. She jumped right on an medical insurance injustice that a family member was having and got it straightened out. The Union wouldn't even help the woman with the problem.

She got into politics because her mother was in a nursing home and everything she owned was sold off to pay the bills and it still wasn't enough, so they tried to kick her to the curb.
