Bay Bridge Accident

I stay in the middle, The far right side on the way back has that metal grating, like on the benedict bridge, it makes the cars a little unstable on the road. I guess its there for drainage, but always seems to get a little squirrely.

I go across with my feet on the highway pegs in the left lane. Boy closes his eyes. He doesn't like to see the water looking down through the grate.

I have a terrible fear of heights and that bridge scares the beejeezus out of me. If I could have, I would have laid on the floor.

I'm proud that I can drive over the Solomons bridge but that is it, that is long enough.

The accident, from what I heard, was head on.

I still refuse to drive across the 301 bridge into Virginia. The one time I did drive across it I was alone and there was a severe storm going on and lightning was dancing all around it in the water! I swore right then and there I would NEVER cross that bridge driving again and I haven't!

Prayers to the families involved. I will be heading to the Eastern Shore tomorrow to spend the weekend in St. Michael's. I wonder if westbound 50 will be open....I am going to try to get out of here by noon. Maybe miss some traffic.

Wow, how horrible. Now I see what you were talking about. I've been stuck on that bridge before and it's not fun. Neither is going across it in a blinding snowstorm with the middle lane closed off for construction.

Yes, but I just got her voicemail. I sent her an email yesterday and she hasn't replied to that either.

Me, too. Based on the reports of the vehicles involved, I don't think she was involved but I'd like to know for my own peace of mind.

Only 1 lane has grates. There are accidents on 235 everyday. Heights can't help you there. Boy was afraid the first time but he got over it.

I'll give it a shot later this summer. We are buying a trailer, I think, so we can trailer over to the Shenendoah. I don't want to ride thru Fredericksburg just yet.
