Bernie Praises Murderous Communist Dictator Fidel Castro: ‘Had Massive Literacy Program’

Sanders, who faced widespread backlash over his remarks, made the comments on CBS News’ “60 Minutes” with host Anderson Cooper when asked about his past support for tyrannical communist dictators.

“Back in the 1980s, Sanders had some positive things to say about the former Soviet Union and the Sandinistas in Nicaragua,” Cooper said while narrating during the segment. “Here he is explaining why the Cuban people didn’t rise up and help the U.S. overthrow Cuban leader Fidel Castro: ‘…he educated their kids, gave them health care, totally transformed the society, you know?'”

“We’re very opposed to the authoritarian nature of Cuba but you know, it’s unfair to simply say everything is bad,” Sanders responded. “You know? When Fidel Castro came into office, you know what he did? He had a massive literacy program. Is that a bad thing? Even though Fidel Castro did it?”

Hopefully this will resonate with the Cubans in FloriDUH.

BERNIE SANDERS SAYS HE'LL MAKE FOSSIL FUEL INDUSTRY PAY $3 TRILLION FOR THEIR POLLUTION TO FUND GREEN NEW DEAL

If Sanders is elected, the candidate says the Green New Deal will cost $16.3 trillion, and will create 20 million union jobs. It will be paid for from six sources, according to Sanders' website. The fossil fuel industry will pay $3.085 trillion "for their pollution, through litigation, fees, and taxes, and eliminating federal fossil fuel subsidies."

An additional $6.4 trillion will be raised in revenue from selling energy from regional Power Marketing Administrations, along with $2.3 trillion in income tax from the new jobs created by the plan and another $2 trillion from taxing corporations. Sanders also hopes to raise another $3 trillion by cutting defense spending and reducing the burden in social services, again due to the creation of new jobs.

Sanders says the Green New Deal will save U.S. taxpayers $2.9 trillion over 10 years, and ultimately $70.4 trillion over the next 80 years. He counters this with the $34.5 trillion Sanders says the U.S. stands to lose by the year 2100 in economic productivity if the government does not act.

Comrade Sanders Declares War on the Whole U.S. Economy

Democrat front-runner Sen. Bernie Sanders has responded to his disastrous 60 Minutes interview by releasing a plan for how he would raise the estimated $60 to $94 trillion necessary (he doesn't know exactly how much it all costs, and don't ask him) to pay for his massive socialist social programs. These programs include abolishing private health insurance to replace it with a government-run universal Medicare, pushing the so-called “Green New Deal” to force the economy onto expensive and as yet unreliable energy sources, and even a $1.5 trillion government-funded child care program that he nevertheless dubs “free.” He claims he would pay for that by taxing “extreme wealth.” Sanders would also drastically weaken the military, abolish ICE, and effectively open our borders while expanding the welfare state to cover illegal immigrants.

The Sanders plan to pay for all this is less serious, as a plan, than your average dorm room philosopher's pot-inspired sophistry to save the world, man. It’s also an all-out assault on the American economy and, in particular, on the energy-producing states including Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Wyoming, Kentucky, Oklahoma, Ohio, Louisiana, New Mexico, Colorado, Alaska, and Texas. In that sense, it’s very serious.

These people are talking Trillions as if that is a drop in the bucket.
I honestly think they are insane. The whole bunch of them.

I might add that anyone who votes for them has a screw loose too.

Abortion Czar? Sanders Administration Would ‘Require Preclearance’ For Pro-Life State Laws

The idea, which is outlined in the candidate’s Reproductive Health Care and Justice For All proposal, would “ban” state laws that “put undue and unnecessary burdens and regulations” on abortion providers.

Specifics for the “preclearance” process have not yet been outlined, nor is it clear what government body would be approving these laws.

In different portion of the proposal, Sanders also indicates that he wants to see Roe v Wade used as a litmus test for future Supreme Court nominees, and have the landmark abortion decision enshrined into law.

The comprehensive abortion plan has been unveiled as the Supreme Court heard oral arguments earlier this week in the first abortion legislation case since the senate approved Justice Brett Kavanaugh to the court in 2018.
