Best place to buy diapers/formula?

Yep, we started out with expensive soy-based Isomil ($29.99 per small can) and then switched over to BJ's house brand at $19.99 per can - and it's alot larger!). As Bob mentions, the nutritional values matched up almost point-for-point. The savings of going to BJ's brand has been tremendous.

We also use BJ's diapers, which I've found to be more economical as well as better quality. Naturally, I've not tried every brand out there, but the one's that I've tried have BJ's house brand coming out the winner. I recently tried the Target brand diapers and didn't care for them at all. Also tried the Huggies and felt that they didn't do as well as the BJ's brand.

Diapers and formula are a great gift idea. :yay:

Did you compare any other store brands? We are feeding the Similac Advanced and I compared a cheaper brand, I think Nestle's brande (I forget the name) and the nutrients were not the same, higher and lower in some areas so I stayed with the Similac.

I like the Luv's diapers. I tried Huggies (my fav) and Pampers - I didn't care for, and I like the Luv's just as much as the Huggies and they are almost $5 cheaper.

Heard on the radio yesterday that Nestle has been fined by Govt. because they don't have high enough calcium and iron in the GoodStart (which is what we used with all 3).

We tried all the different brands over the years. BJ's brand was fine for the boys but a failure for the girl. We used Huggies or Luvs for her, don't remember which. When it comes to wipes, we bought the BJ's brand most of the time due to price, but I REALLY liked the Pampers and Huggies brand ones, much larger, softer and stronger.
BJ's/Sams/Costco is definately the place to buy diapers, wipes and formula.

What size does the baby wear? BJ's just has different colored boxes for different sizes. My twins are wearing size 5's, so it's the GREEN box. There is no BJ's brand of the Cruiser, just a regular diaper, I guess you could compare it to the Pamper's Baby Cry which is just their standard diaper....The cruisers are stretchier.

Also, don't forget to look at all the coupons when you get into BJ's (they always have piles of them) as they ALWAYS have a coupon for $3.00 off their brand and alot of times you can find a discount on the Pampers as well. Same goes for the formula.

When my mother offers to buy us diapers, she gets overwhelmed in the diaper isle!! There are so many different brands, sizes, etc!!
how old are they? She's 10 months old. So i'm not even sure what size to get. :frown:
HELP!
Ohh Hntr...WIPES, i'll add wipes to the list!! I buy them for them for my place, all the time.

My twins are 20 months....I'd say get a 3/4, but I'd ask Mom just to be sure!! My kids stayed in 3's the longest.

I only use Huggies wipes, they are the best, IMO. Target's are too hard, but honestly I have never tried the BJ's brand before. I have always liked Huggies.

Happy Shopping, you're a good grandma!!

That is so awesome! My 3 little ones call my mom Darlin'

How cute is that? My mom called my oldest darling one day and it just stuck, so now that's her name. She loves it.

They do still make wipe warmers. I have never used them before.

My BF's kids call his mom "Goo." Apparently Grand Pop said something like "ew, goo" to her and they picked up on it. A friend's kids call their grandma "Toots" because she said she felt to young to be "grandma."

My Grandmother has always been called "MOM" by us grandkids. I don't know who started it or why...I'd assume to make her feel young!!

I also have a Memaw, but that's pretty common, I think.
