I don't remember having watched any part of most inauguration cetermonies. I remember watching Obama's briefly. He may have been and always will be smug - but he had good speech writers. I wanted to hear what he had to say - inauguration speeches are recorded for posterity.
Biden's I didn't bother. I've heard him speak for 30 years. I don't think he has ever intentionally said anything profound. Snippets I've seen since confirm that - while filled with vague generalities, it was mostly very trite. No "ask not" moments. I don't think I will see another one like that in my lifetime.
