Our government locks up citizens who protest against the current regime. That is just mind boggling to me. Political prisoners in the US, and FBI kicking in doors and ransacking reporters' homes. This is the Democrat Party in action. And half of America cheering it on.

We're watching history unfold. In 50 years high school kids will be taught this in their American History class, only to zone it out and go on to make the same mistakes their Democrat grandparents made.

You know, I have hope because I've been brushing up on American history, specifically periods of tyranny by various Presidents and other political figures that we survived for the most part. But honestly, while the rational part of me is sure we will send the Democrats and the fake news media to the trash heap of history in disgrace, I'm thinking we may not squeak through this one.

Some, like my nephews, embrace a more practical, libertarian to conservative philosophy.

Yet others that I work with seem to embrace the “mother government” philosophy. More than happy to have the government control, just to cure them of every woe. Not that it will ever happen.

But don't you think that's humans in general? Look back through history - in the US and even before the US was invented. People were largely lazy and sheeplike. If someone positioned themselves as an authority and acted the part telling people to git and do, people got and did. That's why those who weren't lazy and sheeplike are names we know today, hundreds if not thousands of years later.
