Big dog beds

My Mom's rottie would eat ANYTHING. Bedding, cans, stick her head in the dryer while my Mom was folding clothes to get the dryer sheet to rip it up. Yup... pretty gross- she never would get sick though. We called her our Billy Goat.

I always said my Rottie gal had a cast iron stomach - nothing ever made her sick. I saw her grab and swallow a whole BIG toad once and she never got sick. She had to have the best digestive system too because nothing ever tied her up either (thankfully). We stopped giving her bedding after the sleeping bag incident.

my doggy manages to hunt out and find every single dryer sheet I didn't manage to throw away in time. He has a strange obsession with them..grabs them, runs, and proceeds to tear it to shreds like it is his mortal enemy..he finds them sometimes and I have NO idea where he got it from.

PS- love the pics! My Mom's dogs do the same thing- her Chihuahua NO idea how to spell that correct likes this huge dog pillow thing, while the bigger dog only likes this tiny little bed (like yours) that he lays his head out of b/c he can't fit. Gosh dogs are priceless!!


I don't know what it is about dryer sheets- but they just love them. I always said how bad the Rottie's breath was and I always hoped the dryer sheet smell would somehow fix the problem.

I have a suggestion for people whose dogs chew up dog beds. Bitter Apple Spray! For years my dog couldn't have a bed because he'd lay there and chew holes in it. Or pick it up with his mouth and fling it across the room. A couple years ago I got the idea to spray a new bed with bitter apple spray. He picked it up in his mouth and immediately dropped it. It's been smooth sailing ever since.
