i couldnt believe the beers people would throw back and then go ride. ok, one beer is fine with me if youre there eating a meal....but 3 or 4? comeon you'll be a statistic in no time.
Most of the club rides/poker runs around here are from bar-to-bar and a lot of folks are knocking back 3-4 beers at every stop. That's a big reason why I like riding with the local chapter of the SCRC.

Yea, but I've never seen a problem with any of them. The ones that I've been on, the passengers were the only ones that took in too much.

After dropping my Sporty at a redlight many years ago, for failing to remember to put me feet down, I stop at 2 drinks with food, one without.

My passengers on the other hand need bungy cords.

Don't know how I missed this before, but I can give you the information on the alcohol laws. Everything already mentioned is correct to a point. St.Mary's County liquor laws state something to the effect that your license covers the premises (bar, parking lot, ball fields, horseshoe pits etc.) However, Maryland State law says, "No drinking in public” St.Mary’s also requires you to have a permit for each serving area, (main bar, tiki bar, ball field etc.) Take Danzig's advice and call the liquor board if you have any questions. Now all that said, Dragin' Inn in Mechanicsville (old Henson's Steak House across from Golden Beach Rd.) went before the liquor board and got a special 1 day OK to host a bike show outside. They were permitted to sell alcohol inside and you could take it outside within a sectioned off area.

Lovin Life!!
Yeppers I went there. Saw a few friends I havent seen in awhile. Not as big a turn out as I thought but the bikes that were there were excellent kept. Some of the paint styles just blew me away. Wide variety of bikes also. Nothing was done outside and no discounts I know that. But all in all a good time with friends and made some new ones. I would say about 30 plus bikes when I left.

I was there, looking for APS... Out of ALL the bikes I was the most original..

All the other riders that were trying their hardest to be original, all had pretty identical bikes.. but my silver bullet BMW was one of a kind!!

Probably thirty bikes in the parking lot.. a few drive bys...

Bar was packed..

We went in and ate to support the ride-in, figured the more money Lonestar made the more apt they were to keep doing it, then loooked at the bikes and took off. I went to Solomons to see how my boat (crew, not own) was fairing in the races, then came back and drove through to see if anyone else showed up. STILL no Aps.. but a blue BMW w/ sidecar joined the fray.

When I showe up, the lot was all Harley, and Harley look alikes. Dismounted and looked at the groupd of people behind the bikes and said.. "Damn, do I feel out of place." But have to admit my bike looked DAMN good sticking out in that crowd!!

I've got my boy on Wednesday evenings from 6:00 till 9:00 and I was pushing a lawn mower around the yard yesterday. When the boy went home I didn't feel like riding anything except the couch.

If the beemer with the sidecar was a 750K, he shows up at the Friday evening A&W GTGs every once and a while. Nice looking set up. :yay:

I didn't leave work till 8:30...was kinda in a hurry to go home to see if my dog ate any more of my furniture.

Looked like a good turnout at Lone Star for it being the first one. I ope they keep it going. I'll try to make the next one.
