Wasn't me..

Hope it was just a slide, and nothing too serious..

I couldn't tell. He was up and there was someone helping him pick the bike up. Looked like a Harley. I would have pulled over, but knew I couldn't do anything to help and there was another guy that pulled over in front of me. The rider looked okay. The bike didn't look so good. I was thinking maybe somone pulled out in front of him.

Any idea on color (of the bike)?

I try not do ride when it's wet. Not that I'm a wimpy rider, but the front end of the GW gets kinda squirrelly. I never feel like I have full control over it.

What kind of tires??

I was running Metzler M1's and had a similar problem.. had a couple of quickened heartbeat moments at low speed with them.. Switched to metzler z6's and they are SOLID in the wet.

I honestly don't remember what I put on there. I'd have to look.

.. and I'm not suggesting Metzler's are the end all.. but for me it wasn't the bike but the tire. With the older model tire I was NEVER comfortable in the rain.

I have no problem pushing into wet corners now, as long as I remember to stay off of the paint..

Think there's some new Dunlop that Dan @ Motovations is raving about for the wings.

Grandtek PT9000?

I'm thinking it was a Dunlop, but nothing like the GrandTek.

When I first got the bike, the front tire looked to be in good shape, but I quickly realized that it had no traction. I was afraid to lean into a corner, it was that bad. The rubber had gotten hard. Once I changed it out, it was like a different bike. I have NO reservations about scraping the pegs now....
