I know there was a thread a while back looking for party ideas, but I cant locate it now. Does anyone know of good birthday party locations or other ideas for 5 year olds? Looking for something easy - her 5th birthday is right when we get back from our western caribbean cruise and I dont want to have to hussle and bustle getting unpacked to have party at our house the same weekend. I'd thought about Hyperspace, but website looks like it says its now closed. Chuckie Cheese is probably out of the way for some of the parents from our daycare... Anyone know the name of that place near leonardtown and if they do parties? TIA....

They're located in Waldorf..
There is another place located in Leonardtown called Family Fun Center. I don't have their web addy, but they do, do parties..
Both are a little pricey IMHO

Why does it always have to be some big party? Can't you just do it at home? Geez :lmao:

I'll bring the camera! :roflmao:

Cove Point Pool does birthday parties.

Try Theme Party Supplies & Party Favors at Birthday in a Box and just do it at home. For my daughters 5th birthday we did a dress up themed party. I bought a bunch of cheap makeup and old dresses and the girls had a blast.

i guess ya'll MISSED it where i said we were just coming back from our cruise vacation and i didnt want the hassle of having it at my house ?? thanks lusby mom...just bust my chops!! i've ALWAYS done at home parties for my oldest (except for one bowling party) and her bday is 12/24...but i'm looking for the easy way out this time...

Just let me know what you decide... So I can bring the camera

Another place that we have done parties is the gymnastics center over in lex park. Oldest loved that when she was that age.

Try the Spray Ground at Nicolet Park. You can rent it before it opens for an hour or 2 they have a covered area with picnic tables.

Hey Socki....all pools get pissed in. Stop being a germaphobe.

Anyways....the pool has always worked out for a party. You are allowed to bring your cake and decorations. All they ask is you pick up after yourself.

But they don't all have a layer of oil floating on top.

Did I miss something? I mean other than them having to clean the play tubes right at lunch :lmao:

When I got there the place was filthy. I had to ask them to clean it. It bugged me that they do not close off the playland to other kids. I thought if you rented a space, you rented a space. They've known for 3 weeks that there were going to be 20 kids but they were not prepared. I came through in the morning I stopped and asked how early I should get there. They didn't even know that they had a party that day. The cake looked like total crap. They had no balloons or decorations set up. They used to do all of that. They didn't bring out the goodie bags until half of the kids were gone.

Oh well, lesson learned. Atleast the kids had a blast.

I have had one of my kids birthday parties at Dorsey Park. Usually a lot of fun and we have a cook out at the same time.

In Leonardtown they also rent out the space to do skating parties.
