I had my 14th birthday party at Dorsey Park. It was a blast. Yeah, the skating rink in Leonardtown is not that bad on prices. I've been to a few years. Also, the bowling alley has a decent package. They can put up the gutter bumpers for the little ones.

I went to the great mills pool the other day and it was nice. No "oil" as Socki referred. :eyebrow: It was very clean and didn't have any problems. Everyone was very friendly. Even the people that leave the "oil" in the water, that Socki referred to. :gossip: I would go back.

Socki, I'm surprised, I would have taken you to have a mixed breed kid. Guess I was wrong. :shrug:

I'm glad they're taken care of the pool now. It really is an asset to the county.

Not really. It's the way you throw yourself out here. Yes, alot of people on these forums know you, but the ones that don't know you, probably think you are "white trailer trash".

Honestly though, I give you lots of credit. You are young, have three kids, not married and you work hard to support yourself and your kids on your own. You work two jobs and have even mentioned going to college to better yourself. I'm sure you get child support, but it sounds like you still work hard. Not sure if you are trying to prove yourself to your family and friends, but I give you lots of credit. Alot of people in your situation just draw off of welfare. Kuddo's to you!

How do I throw myself out there? And what do you mean by trying to prove myself to my family and friends? I am a grown woman.

Sorry Socki - this thread isn't about you. It's about ideas for a 5 year old b-day party. It was going good until you mentioned the "oil" in the Great Mills Pool. I just didn't take you as being a racist. It just threw me off.

Didn't strike any nerve with me. It just seems like lately you are negative with single moms or moms that have more then one daddy. Big deal. Those that know socki know the truth about her. Who gives a rats ass if strangers think she is trailer trash?

I didn't take your comment to be racist. I took it that the pool staff did not clean the pool appropriately. If people don't shower as directed prior to getting in the pool, they make pool scum... this goes for long haired caucasians as well and people of color who are wearing sheen... Why does everything have to turn into a race baiting fight...:banghead:

Exactly I wasnt even thinking that way. I thought she was talking about kids w/ sunblock and suntan lotion on... werent you SG :lol:

I'm not negative with single mom's. Not at all. Crap happens. But when you have 3 kids and have never been married. Then yeah, I have a problem with that. I can see if you get pregnant while you are single and then you meet up with someone and get married and then have kids. Okay, so maybe you get pregnant a second time and still aren't married. But by this point, you should know what causes the pregnancy and be a little more careful. But if you are careless and get pregnant a third time, then what do you expect out of life? I'm not saying someone has ruined their life, but they make it that much harder on them. So instead of having one job and being able to spend more time with the kids, a person has to have two jobs so the kids can have stuff and be provided for. And men at this age aren't looking to take in a girl with 3 kids. So now the mother's love life won't be worth much.

So what is Socki's story? Why does she have three kids and isn't with any of their fathers? What is her story so that I too will feel sorry for her?

Be careful how you hug a man wearing sheen if you wear Bare Minerals foundation. Though the stuff tends to stay and not transfer under most conditons, it will leave a blob on his cheek if you aren't careful...:blushing: :lol:
