You need to go find some snake marinade!I had same thing back in 1999 or 2000. My next door neighbor got the snake out for me as I wouldn't touch it. As he got it out, I said "KILL IT!" He said "Nah", and his Navy friend took it home as a pet.
Just a few weeks ago, a neighbor across the street told us that a BIG black snake traveled from her front yard to under our front porch.

You might try to take the casing of the A/C unit off, spray the innards down with some 409 cleaner, and then hose it off with the garden hose?
Should be just some sheet metal screws holding the case together.
