Blackberry phones and the internet question.

I'm thinking about dumping my computer and getting a Blackberry with Verizon internet service. Does anyone know if you can go to all sites and browse like you can do with a desktop or laptop? Like buying and selling on Ebay.

not everything, and you will be disappointed if you choose a BB as a pc replacement.

vzw bb plan sucks bad... they cap you.. and its garbage IMO.... granted you cant beat vzw service down here, they need to restructure there plans though...

I wouldn't replace my computer with it. It has problems with inline frames and a few other issues. But yes, I have in a pinch logged on to ebay to pay for an item I won.

Make sure you try out Opera if you do get one. Its a lot better on most sites than the BB browser.

Very good for things like Ebay and Facebook on the go. There are even free apps for particular websites that work better than they would in your BB Browser or Opera Mini Browser. However the previous statement about inline frames is true, and there are no ways to view Flash yet. I wouldn't replace a computer with it, but I've been thinking about getting a new computer to supplement my BB, and I think I could get away with just a netbook as opposed to a full-blown laptop or desktop. For my needs, anyways. Netbooks are perfect for Microsoft Office Suite and internet browsing, but they don't have a CD/DVD drive. However they do have USB ports if you already have a portable drive to plug into it. I just need to track mine down in the storage unit...
