i looked for those today.. no one had them. where did you get them

This evening we went looking for snow boots for hubby. Went to Kmart, Walmart, Target, Payless, and True Value. None to be found. In Walmart the guys were lined up at the back wall looking at the regular work boots. And at Target the men's boot department looked like a tornado had blown thru.

Walmart - Prince Fred. They were over in the men's workboot section.

There were some no name brands, but mine say Brahma(sp?) on them around the top. They were the only pr. left of that brand, that I could see.

The prices on the other ones ranged from $18.00 - $24.00. The $24. type were steel toed. Mine didn't have a tag - so the gal at the checkout charged me the same as a different pair I bought for Thing1 - $18.00.

They are pretty cheapy looking & I am sure I will need a couple of pairs of thermal socks on to stay warm. But hopefully they will help me keep from falling on my butt. :jet:

Wow, I must have just made it. I was in our Walmart about 2:30-3pm, and there might have been 20 ps. of boots left on the shelf. And probably about 1/3 of them were children's sizes.

Having Fun!
Gave up looking for a pair of winter boots that I liked back in mid-January. Just ordered a pair of plaid rubber rain boots from Amazon -- they'll work with some heavy socks. They won't make it here in time for this storm but I'll have them for Tuesday's storm. In the meantime, I'm sure that somewhere there's an old pair of hunting boots that my guys have grown out of that'll fit me with 5 or 6 pairs of heavy socks! :lmao:

Its expected that at least 5 roofs per 10 sq miles will collapse by Sunday.

In Walmart tonight.... not a loaf of bread to be found, and almost everyone pushing around kerosene heaters & propane heaters.

MAD PANIC!!!!:starcat:

They call me ... Sarcasmo
Last weekends event was the perfect example... we had folks posting that they didn't believe the forecast so they ran out of baby food or fuel or other necessities such as booze and Doritoes, etc. etc.

Throwing the deuces
My work has issued a statement saying if you are coming in tomorrow, bring a bag with you because you'll probably be staying over-night. Part of it is probably because they know the few who will come in tomorrow will have to be held hostage once the snow starts  Lucky for me, the kids already have the day off from school so I already put in my leave slip. :yahoo:

What can I say -- I was in a weird mood and opted for crazy! :lmao: Figure if I end up head-first in a snow bank they'll be able to find me in these!

Sizes were kind of limited, though...
Coming from Target so I could have gone to the one in Largo by my work to see if they had them there but once I get in the car to come home I don't like stopping till I'm home! Plus, I figured the panic had already set in so it was too late to find any there!

Power with Control
Was in Walmart last night on the way home from class, about 715ish. Damn, madness. Bread section was stripped like a Soviet meat department. Literally 30 straight feet of selves empty, floor to top. Only things left were a bunch of flatbreads, some whole wheat English muffins, and some potato roll hamburger buns
