Horrifying story on the News this morning. Smallwood Drive near Westlake High School. Blue Jetta follows a Mom and her kids with its headlights off. They use a spot light on her car. She pulls over and they pull a gun.

This is very close to the same spot where the kid from Bennigans was shot. Luckily they decided there were to many witnesses and fled.

Grew up in Seat Pleasant until I was about 4 years of age.

It is horrible. My family moved into Waldorf in 1971, and we just moved in 2004. 33 years I lived there. To see the area go to hell the way it has, just breaks my heart. I remember the days when we would fill $1.00 night at the movies, hang out at Carvels and cruise Shopper's World, sitting and chatting with people.

You didn't think anyone would pull a gun on you. Everyone pretty much got along, unless you were in a motorcycle gang.

I'm sorry but I would not have pulled over if someone was just spotlighting me......It is sad people do pull over and horrible things happen to them. If I don't see the red and blue in the rear view, I don't stop and I am on my phone calling to get the creep off of my tail..........

It's really hard to say what one would do in that situation. Panic sets in and people make bad decisions.

I live right around the corner from Westlake...I can't wait to move to Calvert or St. Mary's, but I'm thinking I might head north to Frederick.

We moved to St. Mary's from Frederick. Unless you work on the I270 corridor, don't go to Frederick. Housing is Montgomery Co. crazy prices. The townhouse we sold for $160K 3 years ago now would go for close to $400K.
