I have seen cars with them in it. It's like a pretty blue small box in cars. Is it Satellite Radio and if so where are they installing them? TIA!

Basically, it could be a lot of different things. Do you just want the pretty blue lights?

Oh, and my XM display is white.

Thanks for answering my question you all. :flowers:

I just want to know if I am missing out. I saw a minivan with a DVD player in it and I was wondering if they were watching Satellite tv with the blue lcd thingy.

I have XM radio channels with my Directv. I wouldn't mind having choices like that where the station comes through clear and if I can get it for tv in the car that would be great too.

There are only two ways to get mobile satellite TV in your car (that I know of). One is to have an auto-aiming satellite dish on your roof (they are enclosed in big bubbles to keep them out of the wind while moving). The other is a phased-array satellite system (BIIIIIG $$$$$). That looks like a big flat plate on the roof.

XM is working towards video in the future...the first step is 5.1 surround sound (which I think is useless for music).

I have mounted some of them ontop of a few suburbans. The bubbles were low profile. Cant remember right now the manufacturers name but will post when it comes to me.

I'm not sure if this is what you meant but a lot of vehicles have fold down DVD's now. A great thing to keep the kids quiet. GPS in dark mode is also blue.

It would require the ability to keep a dish type antenna pointed at the satellite.
