:sniggle: Yeah, that will work!

Neither of these boxers have been spoken for.... they will die tomorrow morning unless someone commits to them.
cattitude said:You know, I've been doing this a long time. I know I just can't save them all. I really do try. As cold as it sounds, I sometimes think they're better off being put down (if it is humanely done) than living in a cage or being mistreated as it appears these fellas were. But as I sit here with a lump in my throat and tears in my eyes, I see their faces and I hate that.
I sure hope so, how great would that be!!! Thanks for your research and time trying to find an alternative for them!!cattitude said:These dogs should be pulled today by Adopt A Boxer Rescue from Pennsylvania. Abbey's breeder put me in touch with them. I just talked to a wonderful lady and they are aware and are just awaiting the okay. I will know something by 3.

cattitude said:Apparently, they had a lot of people on their side. The rescue was notified about the white one earlier and then they found out about the brindle. Apparently, this Abdington shelter doesn't like to cooperate with rescue groups but Adopt A Boxer has somebody that can get them out and has done this successfully in the past.
Why wouldn't a shelter want to cooperate with a rescue group? You'd think ANY shelter would be excited and happy about the possibility of a pet finding a home, but apparently not.cattitude said:Apparently, this Abdington shelter doesn't like to cooperate with rescue groups but Adopt A Boxer has somebody that can get them out and has done this successfully in the past.

WTF?!? WHy would the "shelter" not work with a rescue? That just makes NO sense.cattitude said:Apparently, this Abdington shelter doesn't like to cooperate with rescue groups but Adopt A Boxer has somebody that can get them out and has done this successfully in the past.

He was found running stray in Prince Frederick on Sixes Road and not a single soul claimed him during the hold period. Funny thing is he is a gorgeous brindle which we all know is more expensive to buy and not as common as fawn, has a fairly long show style tail dock, and his ears were very recently cropped as they were still scabby and needed a little more posting. He was about 10-12 months old when we got him and has been one of the best dogs we have had yet. I only wish I knew more about him. We had 5 at one time and simply can't house anymore or I would be rescuing every last one.
