Thank You For All Your Help. My Friend And I Went To Pick Out His New Puppy Over The Weekend. I Have Had Three In The Past So I Know What To Look For And All The Health Issues, But Thanks. And My Female Now Runs The House. She Is So Spoiled That She Has Her Own Chair And She Sleeps With My Son. She Even Gets Her Nails Done, When I Do Mine.

And The "puppy Mill" Reply....... People Like To Judge Before They Know You Or Listen To What You Have To Say.

She looks full blooded to me. And we got his dog in West Va. That is where I'm From. And she is so cute. :huggy: It was so hard not to come home with one myself. But my appartment is full now. We have Sadie, along with two cats and three sugergliders. Althought I could down size one husband, and then I would have room for at least one more in the bed at night...... it was great talking to you and thanks.

And to the one that had puppies 7 months ago, I truly hope that she not one of them. I know how hard it is to find good homes for you pets....... Thanks Cheri

What do you feed him? Mine don't have much of a problem with gas. They get California Natural food and two tablespoons of fat free plain yogurt with their breakfast. The yogurt really works.
Can you tell me more about this yogurt thing you speak of?

Two tablespoons of plain, fat-free yogurt (with live cultures) daily does wonders for their digestive systems. It is a probiotic and puts "good" bacteria into the digestive tract. Helps keep a balance of good/bad bacteria and keeps immune system, etc. plunking along.

Keeps them gas free too. :yay:

Like regular grocery store stuff? I only have one dog, how long does it keep?

Yep, I get whatever's on sale or the store brand. I go through two large containers in a week. I'd say you could use one and it would last long enough. I don't measure two tablespoons, I just use a large spoon and put two large blobs in their bowl. They love it! I feed them twice a day and they get the yogurt with their breakfast.

That's okay for a short period of time or if they're sick. Best to feed a good diet..human grade...and use the probiotics.

Boxers are known to have sensitive digestive systems.

Does anyones boxer have what is known as "water barfs?" I have a 3 year old boxer boy (the clown in our family) who we have to monitor how much and how fast he drinks his water or he will throw it (and whatever else is in his stomach at the time) all back up.

He will also get sick when he is hungry. Instead of going and eating, he wants out so he can eat grass and then throw up the grass and what looks like foamy stomach acid stuff.

We have talked to the vet and we were told that there is nothing to worry about...that he is healthy.

He has had these issues for about 2 years now. Any ideas?!?!

Boxers have a lot of digestive issues.

Boxers are subject to gastric torsion (Bloat) which can kill them. You have to be very careful with watering, feeding and exercising. Do you feed him twice a day? They really should NOT exercise hard prior to and after feeding and shouldn't have a lot of water after eating dry food.

Did he come from health tested parents (if you got him as a pup). Has he ever been tested for heart problems?

My boy does that. He inhales his food, doesn't really chew it. I don't know that it is a medical condition moreso his own fault for scarfing down his food.
