Boy Names? ?

Back to the family name thing, in the South it's traditional to name boys after the female's maiden last name or his or her mother's maiden name. Forest, Deveraux, Hamilton, Boone, Finely, and more are some of my male cousins' names. After my favorite boy names were taken by other relatives, I decided if I ever have a little boy, I'd use my mom's maiden name. Look on both sides of your family and see if there are any last names that aren't being used any longer that you think are cool.

The last names in my family do not make good first names. I named my son after my grand father and great grand father. Jacob Tayman. My great grand father was Jake and my grand father's middle name was Tayman. I'm still not crazy about Tayman but it is growing on me. It flows well though. All of my kids are named after family members. That's how my family does it.

Have you ever met a Gabriel before?

I have met a few. Totally fruity. One dude even had a perm.

Actually, I had a good friend in high school named Gabriel. He was not gay and he was hot as hell. There was also a hot senior named Gabriel when I was a freshman. He was not gay either.

That's what we did for my son -- his name is my maiden name. His middle name is the same as my hubby's and his dad's -- which I also like as a first name -- Rees. They are a Welsh family, so they also have cousins with the same name, but with the traditional Welsh spelling of Rhys.

I like Tristen, Grayson, Ian, Miles, Dylan, Logan, Jason.

Someone mentioned Riley, which I like as a name, but I hear a lot of girls with that name nowadays. Just sayin'...

I ike Jackson and call him Jack, or Jackson.. I think Jack it a great name.

One of our friends sons name is Jaxon. They call him Jax for short. I like that spelling...

My boys both have somewhat new but traditional names, and their middle names are after our fathers.

My twins are b/g but I am not really into the rhyming names etc... My brother and sister are twins and their names are Sarah and Steven.

My daughter was VERY easy to name, while we debated for MONTHS about our boys' names!

Good luck in your search for names!! You getting uncomfortable yet?
