The SmartCard machine is off to one side, Yellow I think .... when i got mine it was $ 10 bucks ........... I am not sure now .... you might even be able to get it from Metro's web site ahead of time ............
Good info, I'm going to have to know all these things to go see the Nationals play this year.
Ive lived here all my life (Hiilcrest/St.Mary's) and I have riden Metro maybe 4 times to go to Verizon Center, use to go to the Huntington station in Va and ride from there, before Branch Ave opened its been about 3 years since I last rode, Branch Ave was open then but still elected to go to Va. to ride, felt it was a safer station and safer stops along the way.
Branch Ave Metro is a direct route to the Nationals staduim, would like to hear comments from riders of Branch Ave who have taken that route in rush hour and non rush hour times as to what its like, some of the stops are in not to nice of a area. JMO (Barry Farms)
Heck 3 of the stops Suit/Naylor and Southern Ave are within walking distance of my old house.
One more question, days the Nationals play, I havent seen the size of the parking lot at Branch, but do you all think it can handle the parking say on a Sat/Sun for Nationals game, there should be alot of people using that station to go to the games, since there is no parking around the staduim and its a direct route.
