“The left continues its assault on the Supreme Court with an unprecedented breach of confidentiality, clearly meant to intimidate,” tweeted Sen. Josh Hawley, Missouri Republican. “The Justices mustn’t give in to this attempt to corrupt the process. Stay strong.”

Sen. Marco Rubio, Florida Republican, said on Twitter, “The next time you hear the far left preaching about how they are fighting to preserve our Republic’s institutions & norms remember how they leaked a Supreme Court opinion in an attempt to intimidate the justices on abortion.”

Indeed, some liberals were applauding the leak.

Brian Fallon, executive director of the liberal activist group Demand Justice and former campaign aide to Hillary Clinton, said of the report: “Is a brave [law] clerk taking this unprecedented step of leaking a draft opinion to warn the country what’s coming in a last-ditch Hail Mary attempt to see if the public response might cause the Court to reconsider?”

But Mr. Blackman said the violation of court secrecy should become both a criminal matter and possibly even affect the court’s membership.

“Heads must roll. Clerks cannot fall on their swords to save their bosses. Anyone implicated … should be referred to the Department of Justice for potential criminal activity, including theft of government property. And now there may actually be a need for impeachment proceedings. If Roberts cannot resolve this situation, he must resign,” the law professor said.

Democrats Pounce, Call On Congress To Immediately Abolish Filibuster In Wake of SCOTUS Leak





The Hill reporter Julia Manchester shared a series of posts Monday evening that included breathless statements from varying Democrat politicians.

Mandela Barnes, Lt.Governor of Wisconsin and current candidate for U.S. Senate said:

It has never been more clear why we need to abolish the filibuster and take immediate action to protect every person’s right to make decisions about their own bodies. Republicans have proven they will stop at nothing to strip every individual of their right to an abortion. We must act now.
You’ll note he was careful not to be prejudicial in supposing that only women have abortions. Every INDIVIDUAL…of course.

Pennsylvania Lt. Governor John Fetterman had this to say:


Let’s be clear: the right to an abortion is sacred. Democrats have to act quickly and get rid of the filibuster to pass the Women’s Health Protection Act and finally codify Roe into law. We cannot afford to wait.

At least he was honest about his religion. The right to kill a baby is sacred to his party. It is better for everyone to be up front about their faith when it comes to politics.

Ohio representative Tim Ryan is a co-author of the “Women’s Health Protection Act” and issued this statement:

Overturning Roe v. Wade would be absolutely wrong, not to mention catastrophic for Ohio, where Republicans have passed one extreme and dangerous proposal after another to ban abortion – without exceptions even for rape, incest or medical emergencies – before most people even know they’re pregnant. We cannot sit back and allow the Supreme Court to gut Ohioans’ most fundamental rights. Control of the Senate has never been more important. It’s time to end the filibuster, pass the Women’s Health Protections Act, and fight like hell to make sure all Ohio families are free to make these critical decisions without interference from politicians in Columbus or Washington.




Democrats would do well to remember the power they seize today, will be in the hands of The GOP after November

Pelosi, Schumer Accuse Conservative Justices of Lying in Scathing Reaction to SCOTUS Leak



“Several of these conservative Justices, who are in no way accountable to the American people, have lied to the U.S. Senate, ripped up the Constitution and defiled both precedent and the Supreme Court’s reputation – all at the expense of tens of millions of women who could soon be stripped of their bodily autonomy and the constitutional rights they’ve relied on for half a century.

“The party of Lincoln and Eisenhower has now completely devolved into the party of Trump,” Schumer and Pelosi add. “Every Republican Senator who supported Senator McConnell and voted for Trump Justices pretending that this day would never come will now have to explain themselves to the American people.”

Democratic governors were equally “horrified” by the news.

"I am horrified by the apparent draft Supreme Court opinion leaked this evening that would overturn the right to abortion guaranteed by Roe v. Wade," Gov. Kathy Hochul, D-N.Y., said in a statement. "For the sake of women across the country, this should not be the Supreme Court's final opinion when it comes to abortion rights."

Who here has read "Freakonomics"?

I think people who are hard core anti-abortion are tunnel visioned and not looking at the big picture. They're thinking about that tiny infant, not the drain on society predator that baby will grow up to be, and then pop out 4 or 5 more just like him/her. Which is why our society is crumbling and crime/poverty is so rampant - not enough abortions.

The amusing part is that Democrats find themselves in yet another episode of cognitive dissonance. "Abortion is racist eugenics" vs. "Women should be able to kill their children." I think it was Al Sharpton who said, "Who says those kids will grow up to be criminals? Maybe they'll grow up to be like me?" To which most of us would respond, "God help us."

This is one of the few times that I have to disagree with you, Vrai. There is no way of knowing what an aborted fetus would have turned into. There are plenty of examples in this country of people born to poor families and whose future was bleak at best and then succeeded in spite of those obstacles.

Im not so sure Sanger, Kellogg and many others were really all that wrong.

This is one of the few times that I have to disagree with you, Vrai. There is no way of knowing what an aborted fetus would have turned into. There are plenty of examples in this country of people born to poor families and whose future was bleak at best and then succeeded in spite of those obstacles.
I give you Ben Carson and Hunter Biden.

Well it isn't. But it would stop the harvesting of organs from a fetus before they were of use to the butchers .
A bit like picking a fruit before it is ripe. The harvesters want these organs to be fully developed before they kill the baby and take their organs for use by "Doctors"

  • Megyn Kelly, journalist: “The pathetic spineless leak of a draft SCOTUS opinion has the feel of something a sad little woke 20-something-year-old would do. The kind of person who thinks their personal agenda is ‘more important.’ Whoever did it should lose their law license.”
If it was an aide (and I'm sure it will be pinned on one) whose to say they have a law license, and if it's a justice I don't believe they need one to be elected and certainly it isn't a constitutional requirement of the job so they would laugh off any attempt.
