Workaholic just called me to see if anyone had posted anything b/c he can't get to Solomons

yep, it's a parking lot !
I heard sirens about 15 min ago and looked out.
Nothing moving in either direction.
I turned the scanner on too late to catch a lot of what's going on.

Just looked out and saw the greatest ambulance driver ever. It looks like they are backing down from the somewhere on top of the bridge. Can't see the equipment from Solomons so it must be near the top.

Just started moving. Looks like a little black go faster submarined another larger car. No sirens coming OFF the bridge.

I drove by minutes after it happened. It was a rear ender and it looked like the guy who hit was going decently fast. I think it was a black cobalt, but they were out of the car talking. It was in the NB lanes just over the crest of the top on calvert side.

How about this.... slow down and avoid accidents... People are in such a rush around here. It's sunday morning and I was driving up Great mills @45mph... the posted speed is 40.... meanwhile I have some idiot with a fish sticker on the back of his truck zipping past me doing 60... Is that really necessary???? No wonder THAT road has so many accidents... it's the same all over SoMD.

If the sheriff's weren't congregated in the Hickory Hills parking lot maybe they could be ticketing unsafe drivers.

Keeping up the speed limit on the bridge would cause a lot less traffice jams. Yeah, you're going to have the occasional accident due to stupidity, i.e. tailgating, not staying in your own lane, etc., but the dayum traffic would move a lot better if folks didn't automatically slow down to 25 mph when they hit the bridge.

Guess a supervisor is reading the forums because they all just bolted without their lights on.... in 2 different directions.

I can see chatting for a minute to catch up on how the wife and kids are doing but 3 cruisers hanging out is totally unnecessary....
