No.Did they ever find that high school kid that jumped not too long ago?
Heard today she passed away during the flight to hospital. Prayers for her family and friends for comfort.Prayers go out to the third bridge jumper that closed the bridge down at 4:40pm. Was glad they recovered her and flew her out. Hope she makes it. What’s with all the women jumpers lately?
No disrespect is intended to those who knew this jumper or previous ones.So now they want to waste a bunch of $$ on screens or nets. Good grief...such nonsense.
If they should add netting how are they going to get this person out of the nets with out putting others in danger. Going to be hard getting someone out of the nets. Would probably be the MSP helo having to lower someone down and try to hoist a distraught person into the chopper. Could put that crew in a dangerous situation. No disrespect is intended to those who knew this jumper or previous ones.
I do have to agree, if anyone is determined to jump, they will find a way. Nets, fencing...etc they will just find a way around it and go through with it. There's not much sense on spending money to add these barriers.
On Tuesday, April 12, 2022, at approximately 1:45 p.m., Officers from the Department of Natural Resources Police responded to the Calvert County boat ramp underneath the Governor Thomas Johnson Bridge in Solomons, for the reported body recovery.
Officers arrived on the scene and found an unknown aged unknown gender body approximately 200 feet South of the boat ramp near the shoreline rocks.
Due to the location of the victim, a boat from the Solomons Volunteer Fire Department responded to assist with the recovery.
Solomons Zodiac 3 removed the victim from the water and transported them to awaiting police.
The Maryland State Police and Natural Resources Police are investigating.
On a positive note, a family will receive much needed closure.UPDATE: Maryland State Police Identify Body Recovered in Solomons Island, Two Southern Maryland Men Still Missing

Maybe it's that Leonardtown teen who jumped months ago. He hasn't been found yet, has he? Or maybe someone who just walked into the water and drowned and no one saw.UPDATE: Maryland State Police Identify Body Recovered in Solomons Island, Two Southern Maryland Men Still Missing

Working up in Alexandria, I hear about a lot of people washing up onto the shores of the Potomac River. Mostly homeless people who were probably just trying to bathe but sometimes it's a suicide.Could be. Or the guy who was missing from his boat several months ago. Its coming up on that time of year again where Great Falls claims the hard-headed that ignore all the signs.Working up in Alexandria, I hear about a lot of people washing up onto the shores of the Potomac River. Dems need to pass some jump laws or something that works as good as the gun laws they pass...lolNo disrespect is intended to those who knew this jumper or previous ones.
