Broccoli salad question

Wait a minute......

You knew you needed this onion YESTERDAY, went to the store today, forgot to get it, now you're razzin on the BF????

Well, we went to Walmart and Foodlion yesterday. When you're shopping with 2 young children you tend to forget things. We didn't go to the store today. Plus, I've never made it, and forgot I needed the darn onion.

So --- how'd broccoli salad turn out?

I think the red onions make the salad but I LOVE onions.

I think they do, too. I was making potato salad yesterday and I used yellow onion in it. As I was mixing it together, I was thinking about all the different onion types and how each one would give it a different taste rather than what I was going for. No onion in it at all would be just bland/tasteless.

It turned out great! My BF's mom had a sweet onion (it wasn't a vidalia, she just said it was a sweet onion :shrug so I used some of that. It was yummy! Next time I'll make sure to get a red onion though.
