I was truly amazed at the amount of support shown by the community along the route. It made me proud to live here.

I don't think so. We were only five. We caught up to the rest north of Charlotte Hall. We were a group of five that came thru prior to the procession. Quite a bit before the procession. We had a Vietnam Vet leading us. Nice guy.

Did I see you..

I don't think so, I think she's saying they met up with the rest in Charlotte Hall, but I might be wrong. I thought she said she would be riding and I tried to snap pics of all the bikes coming thru Leonardtown. I don't recall seeing any female riders.

BS Gal, I'm glad you were able to make the ride and came out of the flat ok!

No, we left from the parking lot across from the funeral home. Probably about 30-40 minutes ahead of the procession.

Sorry I missed you guys. I was trying to get pics of all the riders. It was great that you both were able to ride, what an honor.

her first flat tire today. Happened on the way back from the ride up to Arlington, but we'd turned around at Waldorf. Rear tire, went flat real quick just as we were coming up to the 235 intersection. She rode it through the intersection very well and pulled out of traffic right away. Had to go get it with the trailor. Thanks for the help Dutch! Good thing I had just put my back seat back on.:lmao:

That was quite a ride up there. People along the roads everywhere. Choked me up a few times.
Now I know who to call the next time I have a flat.

Way to keep it going, BS Gal! We all like to think we're ready for any situation, but never know for sure until we're there. Glad you made it OK through this one!:yahoo:

:huggy:

Kinda glad I didn't have to ride it home after that.

So you thought that Vietnam vet that gave you a ride home was nice too?

In My Opinion
Thank God you didnt lose that tire at high speed.
and, its a good thing that you do have skills on the bike.

I had tires on my bike that would wrap around the rim if they went flat, they were not cheap, but when I got that flat on the front at 60 mph I was glad to have them.
