Bush finally concerned about Bin Laden.

The real threat to western civilization (extremist islamofacism) isn't even allowed free discourse in Canada

Are you referring to the fact that al-Jazeera is censored in Canada?
Can you name the cable and satellite outlets in THIS country that allow it at all?

Well...

:yikes:

It all makes sense now. McCain/Feingold was created specifically to prevent Americans from learning McCain's a MUSLIM.

Without mass emails repeatedly fowarding the troof...America is doomed.

...I'll admit the Islam/McCain link is new to me. However, McCain Feingold also prohibits discussing this;

Etymology of Hussein;

Husayn ibn Ali (also called Al-Hussein) was the son of Ali and the grandson of the Prophet Muhammad. Al-Hasan was his older brother. The massacre of Husayn and his family caused the split between Shiite and Sunni Muslims, which continues to this day. In more recent times this was the name of a king of Jordan.

If I were Obama, I'd have long ago addressed this and put it to bed. There is no reason to be ashamed or hide from the name. If you look it up, it's actually an heroic name.

What's to address? He has the name his parents gave him. It's not as if he changed his name to Osama Saddam Bin Hitler-Khan in 2002.

Addressing it only fires up the :dork:s who think it's relevant.

...the point; If someone was trying to infer that my middle name of Hussein was a bad thing and it is, in fact, a good thing, I'd take advantage of it.

There is no polishing the Hitler brand nor Osama's. Hussein, if you do as I suggest and look it up, is a proud name and millions have it today. There aren't very many Hitlers or Stalin's around.

Hussein is akin to "Sitting Bull" or "Gandhi". It's not a bad name.

As far as 'what is there to address' as the story goes, he won't let his birth certificate be released, so, he seems to think there is something wrong.

Bush has had more important things to worry about...like whether a certain percentage of 3 percent of the overall population getting married is going to destroy the institution of marriage, and with it, all of western civilization.

Or about forging ahead with a North American Union with Canada and Mexico. The real threat to western civilization (extremist islamofacism) isn't even allowed free discourse in Canada, and Mexico....well, no need to even go there is there?

Yep, the Bush administration has many many things on its mind to occupy itself with.
I haven't seen any evidence he even considers homosexual marriage more than the moment he's asked something about it. Have you?

He just wants to change the constitution to prohibit it...that's all.

Really?? What steps has he taken to prevent or turn back the leagality of gay marriage in MAss and CA??

I've heard him say something about it once when asked. Has he actually done anything about it?

His name is only a big deal to the RU. Nobody else gives a damn.

I get what you're saying...he certainly could point out the history of the name. But the :dork:s who have a problem with "Hussein" wouldn't listen, and would continue on as if he never said anything.

Kind of like the birth certificate thing. He was born in Hawaii. Hawaii is considered part of America....it's commonly known to be one of the 50 United States. Many on the right seem to be ignorant about that fact.

Interesting, what year was he born in Hawaii?

Never mind, Aug 1961

Besides seeking to amend the constitution to prevent it?

It's just that some people won't let the truth get in the way of what they want to believe. Even when confronted with evidence showing what's true, they refuse to accept it. Cognitive dissonance.

:dork:: "That's not what I want to believe, so I'm sticking with what I want to believe...reality be damned!"

Really, I wasn't aware he had taken any steps towards actually doing it, other than talking about it.

What do you expect him to do about it? Run through the halls of Congress with a shotgun threatening all who oppose the amendment?

That's Dick Cheney's gig.

Good, so you agree. In reality he has done nothing towards amending the Constitution regarding gay marriages.

That wasn't so hard now was it?

Watch school house rock some time. You can learn a lot.

Doing something in the Senate would mean actually introducing a "bill." That is the first step in creating a "law."

That's kind of what Senators do if they actually want something passed.

Seriously. Besides publicly calling on Congress to pass a bill for an amendment banning gay marriage, what do you think he can do?
